This is terrifying to read. For this n=1, the privilege of being able to afford a healthy diet and regular exercise did not prevent being disabled by a mild covid infection three years ago.

Thank you for adding context. Tbh I didn’t get it either, and as a German moving to the UK in my late teens in the mid 80s I‘m usually very sensitive to all the veiled and not-so veiled Nazi tropes that are rolled out as soon as Germany is mentioned.

The 2.5% lidocaine/2.5% prilocaine combo in EMLA is only available on prescription in the US. Apparently it penetrates the skin deeper than lidocaine alone, eg (oral procedure) pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...

Going to try this! I‘m in the middle of a course of infusions and getting the blood to flow is getting harder with time (scar tissue not helping probably). Think the US equivalent is over the counter 5% lidocaine.
