Westlake is posting random thoughts for F&B because every other social platform is a CESSPOOL. When I have the wherewithal, I will get to talking about how nonprofits and foundations can RESIST the Empire with communications.

Spotted on the tube in London. When Nazis have already threatened to invade your island once, they are easier to recognize.

And this is how to do it. Both the hacking and the news break from Marisa Kabas.
This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

I just found out there's an actual sport called "Power Slap," where people slap each other's faces. It's like watching the coup. Each slap is more shocking than the last, leaving everyone reeling and wondering what just happened; with a big poof of chalk dust and some shitty merch.

Stop saying such dumb and dangerous things then. Talk as though people are listening.

I just watched the Jerry Springer documentary on Netflix, and it is like a mirror of the current descent into Machiavellian chaos: televised conflict, manufactured controversy, breaking of norms, and a desire for spectacle that is more like wrestling than running a country. Ugh. I can't watch.

I've got a few olde English swears that would work.

And there we have it. Maybe If you have a vehicle that updates itself overnight, maybe check for "spontaneous combustion" in the patch notes just to be safe.

I have never heard Elmo the muskrats voice and I hope it stays that way. What is it like? Is it strangely soft? Does he have a lisp? Can he pronounce his Rs?

Boggle my mind how we still have to research this to give it any credit. What next? " Research suggests breathing is very good for overall general health" NO SHIT.

Whether it's volunteering at a local school or taking soup to a sick neighbor, improving the welfare of others can also improve our own physical and mental health, a sizable body of research shows.

Wondering if sci Fi as a genre was invented when someone accidentally typed 3035 instead of 2025 and confused their whole family?

A Musk Rat Masterclass in ‘Disruption’:

Burn It Down, Then Sell the Ashes."

Step 1: Call public education broken.

Step 2: Gut it for "efficiency."

Step 3: Launch a private, elite, fee-paying school in Texas.

NOPE.

Hard pass.

I still remember things I learned from Sesame Street as a child in the 70s when I had no clue that I'd ever live in a brownstone, let alone see one.

Run don't walk to see the brilliant award winning Irish language film "Kneecap", about the band of the same name. Makes you think about indigeneity, especially about languages suppressed by colonialists; and the bloody fight back that inspires new generations with a passion for their own culture.

I have always operated my life on this rule and I didn't even know it had a name. I call it the mad or bad conundrum. Is the person mad? Is it that they can't help what they do because they are insane or stupid? Or are they bad, in that they doing it on purpose? Are they in fact just an asshole?
AOC: This brings me to Hanlon's razor which is to not ascribe to malice what can be more easily attributed to stupidity
