Wow, this is the first time I’ve heard something like this, and it sounds super interesting 🤯 I can see why traditional localization wouldn’t really work. But that’s cool!

The main goal of localization is to increase reach and sales. Which region to prioritize really depends on where you see the most potential players for your game. I’d say, for Spanish, Latin American Spanish usually covers a bigger audience, mostly due to population numbers.

Exactly! 😂😂😂 Well, EU Spanish is quite different from Latin American Spanish. Even when using neutral Spanish. That’s why I’d say they’re essentially two different markets.

Hi, Matt! It always depends on the target audience. Translators often use neutral Spanish* for a broad audience, but if it’s for a specific region, we adapt to that dialect. So, it’s not really random. There are definitely market expectations.

*Neutral Spanish avoids region-specific words.
