I would really like to know what Sarah means by “criminals-drug dealers, violent people - don’t belong here.” Don’t belong where? In the United States? What do they think should happen to those people? Do they think it’s possible to have a country of hundreds of millions of people with zero crime?

Listening to the NYT’s podcast episode about the Charlie Kirk Memorial. Erika Kirk’s forgiveness contrasted with Trump’s rejection of forgiveness is a good example of how everything is gender. And the NYT commentary completely misses the gendered dynamics and expectations in conservative circles.

Listening to Hard Fork podcast and it’s crazy how many times they call AI companies “the labs.” What is the purpose of using this terminology? Is it just propagandizing for the AI industry? Worth considering what precisely they’re trying to communicate with this language.

I just landed in San Salvador a little while ago, and I look forward to meeting with the team at the U.S. embassy to discuss the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia.

For us, part of what that has meant so far is - we don't fight about theology here. And that has been bringing me a lot of peace and joy. And I commend it to y'all. Let people be wrong. See things you hate, and let them go. We don't have to do here what we did there.

Been thinking about the relationship between ethics and dogma and came across this in Pelikan’s discussion if Montanism. “There was room for partisans of both brands of Trinitarian theology in the Montanist sect - so long as they did not remarry after their wives had died.”
