Within philosophy of mathematics, there is the Hilbertian view that consistency implies existence. What is the corresponding general position in metaphysics? That is, a position that would justify an axiom like "there is an x s.t. p(x) and p'(x) ...)" for arbitrary finite sequences of predicates?
