If Supreme Court justices aren't "partisan," which they're quick to remind us every time they speak in public, then why would they announce their new book on a *partisan media outlet*?

And why would they pick an illustrator who draws for Focus on the Family? chrisellisonstudio.com/section/5462...

The #SCOTUS ethics code turns 2 tomorrow.

Some justices have taken steps to improve their ethical stewardship in that time, while others have opted to continue engaging in ethically dubious behavior.

Here's an overview of where things stand: fixthecourt.com/2025/11/the-....

Posting this here since, sadly, it may be taken down at some point (diversity is a strength in LEAs; not a weakness!)

Once again, House Approps is pushing the judiciary to do more to ensure the 3rd branch is an exemplary workplace free from harassment.

This is critical since the branch, left to its devices, will not do enough to protect staff.

TY, Reps. Joyce & Hoyer (amendment below adopted today by voice vote)!

A federal judge on Ohio State's payroll is overseeing the Ohio State-Strauss abuse case.

How is this OK under the current ethics rules?

A redesign for #SCOTUS case pages has been published today.

Attorneys have been bumped up to a new left-hand column under the caption instead of collecting in a pile in the dregs of docket sheet www.supremecourt.gov/search.aspx?....

There are judges in nearly every circuit that are participating in cases involving the parent university of the law school they teach at.

Just because it's widespread doesn't mean it's okay. In fact, it's super unethical!

Good morning from a humid & gray Supreme Court!

Will we get a major opinion today, like birthright citizenship?

We’ll find out in the next hour or two, though opinion announcements are still not being livestreamed (our Kit Beyer has thoughts scotusblog.com/2025/06/the-...

More than 1/3 of the recusals this term at #SCOTUS have been due to J. Alito's stock ownership.

He & Martha Ann inherited nearly all of them when her father passed away in 2012, & they've refused to sell in the years since.

Justices shouldn't own individual stocks docs.google.com/spreadsheets....

Not a lawyer here, but this seems like a way to get around the sticky Rule 65(c) issue?

If so, would expect to see more of these in the near future.

Live audio is great, but have you considered cameras?
