He has no interest in it.

If he did, he would have made announcements like this when he was first elected, not in the year before an election.

Will Bill 60 survive a challenge? I doubt it. So do those lanes anyway, especially O’Connor.

…ofc Sutcliffe wouldn’t dare; he’s got fucking placeholder figures in the budget that he needs other levels of government to fill so he’d never dream about antagonizing Ford.

Does the sum total of positive effects of those initiatives (more than) offset the negatives that this project will introduce? 🤔

That’s all he’s ever been.

I imagine the first expression on his face upon exiting the womb was a sneer.

Hate to tell you, but more bus cops don't increase reliability, increase the number of busses on the roads, shorten wait times…

A lot of modern-day conservatives are incapable of reflection, and go on the attack (“yeah but NATO spending”) rather than question their own part in a disagreement or conflict.

They think themselves perfect, while in reality they’re incredibly fragile.

It’s wild to me that they still don’t see it.

The boycott of the US (travel, goods, etc) is essentially a grassroots effort that’s had its own momentum since Day 1. It takes a major change of circumstance and mood to get the population of one country to change their habits overnight.

I wonder what the long-term disrespect of transit riders costs OC Transpo every year? 🤔
November 23, 2025 at 5:53 PM
Sure, but a better way to prevent further structural damage would be to actually fix the fucking building.

It's been like this for 4 months. Enough is enough.

I live nerby; that scaffold only went up a week or two ago.

Have they even done any work under there? Or did they put the scaffold up to pretend that work was up and running in an effort to fake compliance with a permit?

Heads up: there's going to be a Convoy-adjacent group that have a weird concern for ostriches slithering downtown from the west end today around 11 am.

City Hall/Elgin @ Laurier is not part of their route into downtown, but still - keep your heads on a swivel.

There's been at least one punk cover by a Canadian band. I just can't remember who that band was.

This has been alarmingly regular over the past 6-8 weeks or so. It needs to be dealt with.

The POW/Preston/Carling… thing is an absolute shitshow. Everyone for themselves, zero consideration for others, lanes and lines on the road mean sweet fuck all.

I walked it yesterday and was on high alert the whole time; as a pedestrian it felt legitimately dangerous.

“Make transit users walk even farther” is quite the take from a co-president of a community association. Do any of those businesses even have back doors?
