Plus side of visiting the USA (apart from the National Parks) is that you can buy enough Maseca at Walmart to keep making tamales back home forever #ChemistsWhoCook

Hello, America! Goodbye, Internet! 👋

This one courgette keeps giving.

Luckily TPE didn’t have us buy a separate ticket for Mr Marrow.

These courgettes allegedly appeared in just over one week 😱

Ok someone please teach my how to use electric cookers. I’d argue I’m pretty good with gas? 😅

I am also very close to asking in writing what constitutes “legal but immoral purposes”. Drinking alcohol? Cohabitating? Eating meat on Fridays?

Wrapping up the weekend with some gnudi in sage (garden) butter (bought) to use up the remaining wild garlic (foraged) #ChemistsWhoCook 🤤🤤🤤

This weekend is to catch up on all yum yums, including @tjfellowes.bsky.social’s signature pancakes #ChemistsWhoCook

More cooking today and trying to find use for the bumper crop of Jerusalem artichoke - turned into a saag aloo type curry with wild garlic (foraged locally) and rhubarb chutney (from the garden). #ChemistsWhoCook

You could also tap onto an unlimited supply of wild garlic, just waiting to be foraged when looking at the cathedral!

I’m told by @nicoladem.it that I could enter the wallpaper business.

Given that food photos are probably irrelevant to PhD recruitment: this is where you could be working!

And this is the view from said bench
February 20, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Today I noticed that the bench at the stunning viewpoint by Durham train station is dedicated to some Robert Murrell MA - “advocate of integrated public transport”. Perhaps one of the greatest things to be remembered for by the local community!

Not really a cooked dish, more of an assemblage but still #ChemistsWhoCook Friday night dessert 🧁

I missed the blind wine tasting scene, plus student societies are just so much more fun than tastings with “real people” - the nerdiness is very exciting!

Inspired by the recent trip to Italy and Rick Stein’s long weekend in Palermo - spaghetti with overcooked cauliflower sauce 🤣. Super yummy, totally recommend. Very filling as half of the sauce is soggy breadcrumbs. #ChemistsWhoCook
