A delicious creamy soup made with fresh fish that is fighting really hard to stop an international right wing conspiracy to install a fascist dictatorship in the U.S.A.
For health records or for financial payments that pay for health insurance or health care?

Is it possible to use blockchain technology to create a health insurance collective that is owned by everybody and nobody and SO BIG that it can always get the best price on everything.

How would that help us get better health care for a more affordable price?

For health records?

Health insurance payments?

How about... a blockchain that allows us to purchase our health insurance and pharmaceuticals as ONE BIG buyer so we get better rates.

Like the marketplace website currently run by the government, but not run by the government.

If not health information, then what would be on this "blockchain" for health insurance? The fees and payment system? Would that help anything?

OK, not the actual Internet, but networked computers depending on connectivity for speed. How would the blockchain be faster than any other system of networked computers?

OK, not actual file sharing protocol, but the same file in multiple locations with data hashed.

What advantages?

The supposed advantage of a blockchain is that it is decentralized, unhackable, and not controlled by a government.

The decentralization would require sharing people's personal health information with anyone who wants to mine the data.

I see no advantages. Only disadvantages.

The blockchain used for Bitcoin basically depends on the Internet, doesn't it? It's file sharing, right? So... it is only as fast as our connection.

But, the Bitcoin blockchain is designed to have a "proof of work model" that causes each transaction to consume a massive amount of energy and time.

Starlink?

Sure. But what would be the point of having Starlink run our health insurance?

What scares me the most is that I had to check your profile to be sure you were joking.

Elon's made similar comments about "the blockchain".

It suggests he doesn't actually know what a blockchain is.
