We are lucky. We have good insurance that is helping pay for OT and speech therapy. Sooo many families don’t. But it’s a struggle to pay our part. He will age out of the state system before he has a chance to use it, regardless of if he needed it. These Republicans don’t care who they hurt. 😞

My state (Iowa) has privatized and decimated its Medicaid system. My 13 yr old child was just diagnosed w/Lvl 2 Autism, complex ADHD, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and GAD. He would would qualify for an Intellectual Disability waiver from our state. It’s a 6 year wait list to get an ID waiver. 😡
