60. Another novella! I have been very excited for 'The Cold House' by A.G. Slatter. Even though I'm a massive scaredy cat for horror, I love Slatter's writing enough to terrorise myself.

59. I love a novella, and C. L. Clarke calls this her 'sad swamp lesbian story', so I'm fairly intrigued. It's also blurbed by two authors I love, so I'm taking that as an excellent recommendation. 'Fate’s Bane' is next.

58. Daniel Polanksy's 'Low Town' series comes highly recommended. I don't think I need to start with the novella 'A Drink Before We Die', but I'm going to because it comes first chronologically.

55. I'm always bad at listening to audiobooks, but 'Godsgrave' by Jay Kristoff only took 2 1/2 months, which is pretty good going for me.

50. The amazon adverts actually sent me a great shout with this one. Another Sourdough Universe tale with 'Of Sorrow and Such'. I'm really enjoying mixing longer and shorter fiction, makes me feel like a productive reader rather than a slow shambles.

49. OK, so that last book wasn't the answer. This, however, I know I will love. 'Daughter of the Otherworld' by Shauna Lawless is the first book in the second Gael Song trilogy.

48. I keep on having 'The Bell Witches' by Lindsey Kelk pop up, and I caved when I saw it for 99p on the Kindle store. I'm pretty sure it's YA, but my brain feels like it needs a little break so maybe that is a good thing.

45. Was this Hollows short story 'Sudden Backtrack' by Kim Harrison. Think I would have got more out of it if I'd read the Hollows more recently. Might be time for a reread!

44. T. Kingfisher has only missed the mark once for me as a reader, so I am fairly sure I will enjoy 'Hemlock and Sliver'. It's a retelling of Snow White, but T. Kingfisher is definitely more Grimm than Disney.
