Greedy, to eat all that! You’ll end up with your teeth all grey.
The app is a piece of shit, Stephen A. just kicked off a fresh new gambling controversy, and they’re losing dozens of millions of dollars every MNF they miss playing hardball with Google. Why not throw another tire in the fire?

I was surprised at how accurate they made Conan’s early set in this shot. Conan had just left the show in production (his last written episode was like 10 episodes before this) and they had to kinda guess on what it would look like

36th in points receives 1000 points, 35th receives 1005 points, so on and so forth. Wins in the first 18 races are worth 10 points. The problem with eliminations in any format is that it takes away from the championship leaders to whoever is on the cut-line. This fixes that by not having one.

May be controversial but I really wouldn't mind a Cup field where we have those 11 three car teams as the 33 normal charters. Then each manufacturer can choose to assign a single charter to an independent team that would partner with another team, ie Wood with Penske and Haas with Hendrick.

I liked the idea of restricting teams to a max of 3 cars. JGR selling one charter to Kaulig and Hendrick selling one charter to RCR means, including Front Row and 23XI, we have 11 three car teams once Legacy gets their charter from Ware. Just leaves Hyak, Haas and Wood Bros. left.

Next step during this off-season is launching my stock car site as a companion to @grandprixfocus.com. Once @stockcarfocus.com launches, this and many of my other spreadsheets will be on a resources page.

It wouldn’t surprise me if this provision was part of the successful negotiations NASCAR and the teams had to remove the “bottom three in charter standings for three years rule could lead to revocation of charter” rule that had existed in the previous agreement.

I think they just don’t want any “unserious” teams like the 78 or Ware just giving rides to whoever can be cleared to race Cup and bring a check.
It wouldn’t surprise me if removing win-and-in would clear up more road course ringers, but teams are already having them show up anyway in open cars

This is why removing playoffs next season would not mean Ware is going to go back to running multiple drivers in the 51 instead of just Cody.

And of course, the best FA they’ve had was Sainz, who was more-or-less at Charles’ level his entire tenure.
I think Ferrari remembers 2-time WDC Schumacher came into the team to kick off that era, but don’t remember that Michael brought basically an entirely different staff with him.

My point has always been that if NASCAR announced a full season championship tomorrow, the vast majority of fans would not know until tuning into Daytona. The online majority will be happy. The minority will watch anyway. Like they do in other sports.

NASCAR is not like this. The vast majority of people tuning into races are not online, in spite of having a phone in their pocket and an Amazon Prime subscription. There is a very loud majority of online fans who do not want playoffs. A small minority who do want some form of them.

Run a poll on how many people like the current NFL playoff format. Maybe some will say that the preferred it when there were four bye teams. But you will see near universal support of the current playoff system structure. Ditto with NBA, NHL, and even MLB (to an extent).

There's a version of the Snoopy hoodie that is actually a zip-up jacket, it's in the promo shot but not on the store itself. I might need that

The more I think about this the more I laugh at it. They picked the oldest fanbase in all of sports: people watching NASCAR over the NFL games playing head-to-head. Nobody was going to pay a single ticket to see this after seeing her at Phoenix. She did way more to promote NASCAR than herself.

So I knew this movie was coming out but I had zero idea that it was coming out now nor that the NASCAR visit was to promote this. That's fucking hilarious
