This one had a lot of potential. It's really well done, beautifully shot, and the acting is incredibly natural (mockumentary style). But towards the second half when things ramp up, it just doesn't do anything new with the possession trope.

🍿 SHUDDER Film 25 of 31: The Medium 👻
This one had a lot of potential. It's really well done, beautifully shot, and the acting is incredibly natural (mockumentary style). But towards the second half when things ramp up, it just doesn't do anything new with the possession trope.

This one should've been right up my alley, but IDK. Maybe it's because I've seen better versions of this VERY frequently lately, but it just never grabbed me. And the 80s vibe doesn't hit right.
Julian Richings is (again) a highlight as a killer clown though.

Maybe I wasn't in the right headspace to watch this. I appreciate the fresh take on slasher tropes/villains, but as someone on Reddit described it, this feels more like horror ASMR. I genuinely would probably love it as a screensaver.
