Probably time to get back to the Season 9 Collection, isn't it?

Well I'm not actually ahead of you, I still have three in my backlog to watch (I skipped to S20 which I just finished, then it's S9 then S25 then the S13)!

This week my best entertainment was theatre, but fear not, it was a live version of a TV show! A dive into Inside No. 9, disappointment with Stranger Things and Wicked, and love for The Death of Bunny Munro and The Chair Company. What a week in Fancy Falls!

Had the most brilliant day out in Edinburgh yesterday, culminating in a cracking (and sawing and mugging and kidnapping) night of comedy horror at the theatre.

Well, it turns out Jon Hamm is a proper comedy nerd and good guy. A particularly wonderful episode of my favourite weekly listen.

Well, just over a year isn't as long as forever at least.

If you haven't watched Riot Women and The Chair Company, you're missing out on some of the best TV this year. I'm pitting them against each other, and would love to hear what you think. Also, a full Sabrina Carpenter SNL breakdown and John Candy: I Like Me.

My purchasing of Doctor Who The Collection is officially an addiction. I have three unfinished (S20 in progress up to extras on The King's Demons, S9 and S25 as yet unstarted), and yet I still pre-ordered the latest set...

BUT WHAT IF THEY SEELLLL OUTTTTT....

A smaller missive this week, as we're on holiday for half-term. Film Club is very good, Peacemaker finale was very disappointing and Dreaming Whilst Black is great, but more drama than comedy for me. Let me know your TV thoughts!

The Chair Company feels so close to my personal comedy tastes I worry no-one else will watch, but you should and must. Tim Robinson is the most excellent clown of realism.

It does help your work afternoon move more swiftly when you have a face of biscuits to devour.

Irn Bru Winter Bru is good. Might just be the 14.9g of sugar per can.

New spectacular flavour combo unlocked - sip of double espresso followed by double suck of lime cordial. It may also require a hipster tin mug and a purple Aldi water bottle, FYI.

Sad to report that I found little joy in TV this week, except The Paper being the right show to watch WITH someone, like the good old days. And if anyone can tell me why the Mitchell and Webb sketch "Sweary Aussie Drama" is funny, please do. Let's TV!

Mary is considering leaving her job, and needs consoling.

"Sometimes I think that life is just a long trail of leavings" says Phyllis.

I hope one day to write a line as funny and well set up (via the context, the characters and the scene) as that.

Outrage! They've replaced Daniel Craig with Jonathan Ross in Knives Out 3!

Sometimes all of it gets too much.

And then sometimes, it's close enough to Autumn to crack out the giant Yorkshires and sausage stew.

It's more of an addiction than a choice at this point.

Took me four attempts to even partially parse this terrible headline. I refuse to read the article.

It made me feel so good I put up a cinema poster in my office, like a cute little nerdy teenager.
