idk this whole thing is weird but those ASOIAF images REALLY stray from his style from what I can see

I find his work... puzzling. Just scrolling through his IG. The drift from soft to hard focus in some of the pieces, and the way some look like they're just paintovers of photos (I do like the wildlife paintings)

But I'm also just kind of confused as to how he landed this job?
