Heya, I'm Kat, I'm trans and am a UK-based freelance artist who specialises in miniature painting (though sometimes the minis aren't so mini!) who's commissions are very much open!
A squad of converted Eldar Exodite snipers. The models have splashes of bright colours all over them, in particular their hair, their armour and any trophies they have, but are somewhat obscured by the drab brown of their camo cloaks and gun wrappings. A large miniature of a Tarrasque: a large, dinosaur like creature from D&D, stood roaring atop a rocky outcrop. The monster has a tan underbelly, bright orangey-brown armour plates along its back and glowing yellow eyes. The ground it stands on is covered in long grasses of varying colours and flowers with yellow petals. Four battletech mechs, all painted in pride flag themed colour schemes stand in a snowy landscape. A King Crab in Lesbian Pride colours, The one that looks like a fighter jet with arms and legs in Gay Men's Pride colours, A Vapour Eagle in Bisexual Pride colours, And a Wolverine in Trans Pride colours. Miniatures of the Transformers characters Soundwave and his cassette minions Ravage, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Frenzy and Rumble, all painted in their G1 colours and stood on mechanical looking bases coloured in a blue to magenta gradient.

We Robit-posting tonight, and this time it's Arcee!
Really like how the cool white looks on her with the black lines, plus I think it goes really well with the warmer pink I used.

Still have to get my butt in gear and finish Hotrod and that'll be all my Autobots done!

I do love the 80s cartoon aesthetic, but it is really funny to me how hard the fem Transformers got hit by the dimorphism bat, especially when compared to the Constructicons and other blocky bots. Defying all known laws of Transformers canon, here's Bumblebee and Cliffjumper alive in the same continuity at the same time!
These lil fellas were mostly pretty fun to work on, but wow those faces were little! Think I might have to take another shot at them at some point in the future :p

Despite yellow typically being seen qs a hard colour to paint well, I really like how it looks here on Bee. More effort actually went into figuring out colours for the glass, which took a few goes before I settled on shades of blue that I liked. Another view of both forms of Cliffjumper. Cliff's red was a little tricky, or at least trickier than finding a yellow for Bee, but I finally opted for a shade that, while still a darker tone, didn't make him look too dark and desaturated overall.

Oops, completely missed #PortfolioDay yesterday! Ah well, better late than never, I suppose!

Hi, I'm Kat! I paint minis, make terrain, make pixel art, take commissions and, most recently, have started 3d modeling and printing my own models, based on a certain 80's robot cartoon!
A large miniature (bigature?) of the DnD monster "The Tarrasque". The monster is posed on a large rocky outcrop, scattered with tufts of wild grasses, and is mouth open, mid-roar. The models topside scales are a gradient of orangey-brown to qn almost bone colour at the tips, while the underside is a warm, light brown. The fangs and spikes, of which there are many, are also gradiated from brown to a light beige at the tip. An 8mm scale Battletech mech (a Wolverine, I think) advancing through a snow capped alpine forest, weapon drawn and glowing hot. The model is painted in cool blues and hot pinks, reminiscent of the Trans Pride flag, and bears a freehanded Blahaj, the Ikea shark, on its left shoulder guard. A pair of wrestlers from Rumbleslam posed in a custom built, Dwarven mountain hold themed ring. The wrestler on the right is a goblin in a red singlet and cap, pointing to the crowd qnd calling his next move. Below him is an unreasonable buff Santa, shirtless of course, covered in freehanded tattoos, but otherwise wearing his classic Santa gear and no doubt ready to put this goblin on the naughty list. The ring is made from XPS foam, old dungeon tiles, some 3d printed elements, old warhammer bits, string and a whole load of snow scenic effects. A Legally Distinct Morphing Robot, based on the character "Shredhead", in both bot and vehicle form, in 10mm scale. Sculpted from scratch in Blender, printed on my trusty Mars 3 Pro, then painted with GW and Vallejo colours in a cel-shaded style, to emulate the old cartoon look. Both models are mostly a deep purple with splashes of magenta, but also incorporate a detailed, free-handed mural of a wizard, barbarian and dragon, as well as lightning bolts which appear on various panels. They are also both posed on a base detailed to look like a city street, complete with road markings, a fire hydrant and a totalled car.

That's right, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you: it's Mirage!

Well, Mirage in vehicle form, that is! Still getting on with the bot form sculpt , but it's moving a lot faster than it did with Shredhead, so hopefully there should be a fully modeled Autobot to show off real soon!

Gonna be away from the work desk for a lil bit, so here's a quick WIP post of a few things in various stages of completion!

Constructicons may be inferior, but they've been pretty chill to paint so far and their bases turned out real nice!

Been working on some 10mm scale Transformers minis for a little while now, but I can't help but brag about this guy here!

Not only do I feel they're they my best looking cel-shaded paint job so far, but I sculpted them in Blender myself and that still kinda blows my mind!

From a render in Blender to painted on my worktable, fresh off of the Skybound Transformers comics: it's Shredhead!

Not to keep droning on about it, but this is legit one of my proudest pieces of work, like it feels unreal that this is something I've made entirely myself, from start to finish!

Well here they are: After so many WIP photos, here's the final render shots of my G1 Shredhead design! I wanted to give them a few different poses to give me some variety for printing, painting and playing.

After all this bot printing and painting, I finally pushed myself to take a real crack at learning Blender (and moving on from 3dsMax) to sculpt and print my own Transformers stuff! And so, here are some WIP shots of a G1 styled Shredhead that I think look way better that I expected them to! :D

Bit of a repost here, but Thundercracker is not only my first completed Transformers mini, but also my first completed mini painted to look cel-shaded, so he makes me feel real proud :)

Not posted anything in a hot minute (wow did all that zombicide stuff eat up my time) but following my partner finally managing to drag me ass-backwards into the Transformers fandom, I printed off some Cybertronian bois, soon to be painted up for some gaming!

A bit late to the #PrideMechParade is this Wolverine decked out in a trans pride themed colour scheme and carries the emblem of the fabled Blahaj Battalion!

This mech has been going through it as of late, but despite their enemies best efforts, they continue to stand strong and proud!

Back on #PrideMechParade again, this time it's a lesbian pride themed King Crab, because carcinization comes for us all, even the gays 🦀

Ayyy, finally doing a Me pride flag! Big big fan of the lesbian pride flag and IMHO is one of the best looking ones, can't get enough of that sunset gradient!
A giant King Crab mecha lurks in wait amongst the trees, waiting to ambush a passing patrol. Secret message for alt text readers: having a grounded theme for your miniature's base (no pun intended) is a really good way of letting you get away with painting with some wild, vivid colours, plus basing is always fun and you should try it! Got another entry for the #PrideMechParade today, this time it's a Black Python mecha, decked out in the minty fresh colours of the MLM pride flag!
Really love how the greens came out on this one, plus the blues gave us a visual answer to "how would a mech look in a pair of jeans?"
