About a thousand geese on the river yesterday. I think they wanted to get to where they were going, before the going got tough [no, I won't translate that].

We share the Chester River with a bunch of resident Eagles. When the river freezes, these guys find a hole and wait for fish. I'm guessing that catfish periodically come to the surface in search of flies and other stuff that floats on the surface. It seems very resourceful.
