And pop poet Rod McKuen nounified an adjective when he wrote "Listen to the Warm."

There you go!

Yes, I prefer this one. Could you clarify the stakes? What's the worst that could happen if the Acolytes abuse the Minerals of Power?

Not harsh at all. Or maybe I'm immune because I'm also an English teacher.

Give Vinny's age rather than his ambition so it clear this is MG. You can trim some words. Drop "exact." "Duplicate" is enough. Might also omit "all in one night"--up to you. Just depends if there's other information you want to include.

You can post more than one, but the RevPit editors will respond to only one. Still, you can get valuable feedback from other participants. Your advice helped me.

Just posted a revised version. If you have the time, let me know what you think.

Thank you. I'll give it another go.

Almost there. Without spoilers, can you specify the stakes? If the secret is revealed or harnessed, what's the worst that could happen?

I like this premise, too!

I like this one: vivid and concise. Clear goal, obstacles, and stakes.

Your premise made me think of a low-budget kid movie from the early 1960s: Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Unrelated question: are you related to the great jazz drummer?

Can you simplify this logline? My head was spinning because you have six proper names in a mere three sentences. That made this logline feel overpopulated and potentially confusing.
November 7, 2025 at 9:53 PM
Yes to this! I much prefer this version.
November 7, 2025 at 9:48 PM
Almost there. I'm not sure what you mean by "her grief threatens to tear her apart." What specifically is at stake? A breakdown? Suicide? Something else?
November 7, 2025 at 9:47 PM
You have a good memory. One commenter said I need to specify the antagonistic force. Thoughts?

Marena, have you been in touch with Caroline Tell? I was one of her 2025 RevPit finalists, and she hasn't responded to my emails since July.

A homeless man must find his family before he loses his life.

An Encyclopedia of Faeries, edited by Katherine Briggs. Not exclusively British in focus, and no stories, but informational entries and illustrations. Not sure it's still in print, but it's one of my favorites.
