I'd expect to use it in cuffs for long socks or maybe a waistband but not knowing the pattern I can't say how much sense it makes in this case

You can hold it along with your yarn as you knit, and it should make the fabric snug but still stretchy

The one I tried on wore down to just fabric softener smell, just isn't what I'm going for

Its the kind of shit I do with my own work so I shouldn't be surprised lol
