I feel like if I could get people who use AI to understand one thing it would be this, along with the fact that those with resources (billionaires, tech bros) are able to intentionally manipulate what turns up so people become mouth puppets for whatever they want spread as “truth”
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Curfew was set for 8pm.
LAPD started corralling protestors more than an hour before, not letting them leave, so that they could be arrested for violating curfew.
Oh, and all nearby Metro stops were closed, so even if they tried, they COULDN'T leave.
