In this game the only thing that really dissapointed me was the fans.. 5 minutes before the semifinal is over and people decide they need to what? Beat the traffic? What if we had equalised or won, half of the fans would have missed the only chance to see that in 16 years..😀

Semenyo for me, but Williams would also be exciting! I haven’t seen mire than a few games here and there of Nico so I couldn’t really judge him fairly. Similar stats for both tho!

Would he be front runner for the ballon d’or if Bayern were to win the UCL? I guess there are 2 brazilians and a french guy who want to challenge that, but given how heavy the UCL weighs in the selection I think Salah might be out of that ”race”

I think the new system works very well. Liverpool having to face PSG in the round of 16 was VERY unlikely. But that is down to it being unlikely that PSG get so few points in the group stage. Not because the system is unfair. If all big teams finish top 8 then whats the point with the round of 16?

What a nervous watch but such a relief when merino bopped up on the nwaneri cross unmarked! Looks like Nwaneri and Timber are creating a lovely little pairing on the right there!

Great pod Tim! You really nailed the prediction of Arteta keeping up the spirit after the Kai news! I thought he seemed very upbeat in the last press conference and immediately thought that ”this is exactly what Tim said would happen” 😂

Agreed, would be a massive dissapointment to stand with nothing but a community shield in 5 years time!

I hear your point! I can’t help but feel that rushing to market for a striker last Jan or this, is the reason you end up overpaying for older players (could be the case had we bought Watkins now). I do think it’s harsh to judge KSE on pre 18/19 deals, with the power battle with Usmanov not resolved

Not sure I agree with this. Since they came in (and even more so, when they took over control) KSE have invested significantly. I mean sure we got Pepe instead of Zaha, but generally I think the situation has been getting better year on year! Lets remember we were in quite the hole before!

I’m mostly now worried about Saka being rushed back. With all these injuries, I hope that Mikel doesn’t just jump at the opportunity to play saka and risk further hamstring issues

I mean it feels like the fixtures are easing up. If we were to get through to the final in the league cup that could quickly become a problem again. With CL games and league cup we could be looking at a few games going all the way to penalties. Fingers crossed that we can keep players fit!

Absolutely, and he clarifies it in the article as well! But judging from the comments I’ve seen regarding this, most seem to think Norway follows the same system.

I mean it sounds reasonable, but NOW is the end of the season in Norway😂😂😂 so basically he is looking to move mid season instead

Out of all the Italian teams, these are definitely the better ones to face in the round of 16! Psv are a good side as well

Not sure I would start Tel over anybody in our current line up, unless I was resting someone. But sure lots of potential, and as things currently stand, we are unable to rest anybody.

If it will be paired with burgundy shorts like the 07/08 away kit was. Then it is a yes from me! Would like the full badge instead of just the cannon tho..

I also think people forget how LaLiga release clauses work. For him to leave, he will have to actually betray his own club, he won’t do it. Not while they are doing well in both LaLiga and the Europa league!
