I just DIYed my laundry in a day for $350
Why didn't I do it earlier?
Because I wanted to do a *proper* reno (cabinets, tiles, splashback, counter, lights etc) & was doing endless rounds of research for some 'perfect design'

I got a sample of the cream part of the slab after the deal was done
Just as well
Turns out it looks great in the light beside my glass doors, but 3 feet away on my benchtop, it's an awful dirty-beige
IT DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE THE SAME STONE!

-Polished Patagonia Creame quartzite
I'm obsessed w the distinct stone & crystal in patagonia
That pinkish hue is lovely & there are glittery 'gems' along that edge

When you've had chemo & your hair grows back everyone who knows tells you how great it looks
Obviously I can't trust any of them
But when someone who doesn't know tells me my hair looks great, & adds a comparison to Annie Lennox, well, that's a different story

Eesha went for her first swim (ever?) :)
She was on the Long Red Leash of Privilege & saw a seagull bobbing about on the river
It took off & she ran in, out of her depth
She is NOT a good swimmer, all paws splashing water into her face
She didn't freak out, just splashy-swam back
So brave 🥰

Went to look at some natural stone slabs, small shop, first time I got to talk to the actual stone guy
Mentioned the fabricators my cabinet-maker recommended: They did NOT inspire confidence in handling natural stone when I met w them

The 3 switches I replaced today are functionally upside down (i.e. on-off are the wrong way around)
I meticulously wired like-for-like, w photos, & labelled which side is up
