Worth 1,000 words. This picture is so revealing about so much about this “administration.”

Step back five feet from the dram of any photo about any Trump action or policy, and you’ll see the boom arms, the rigging, the floodlights…

Give a man a fish and someone with a thousand fishes is going to bitch about people getting free handouts. Teach a man to fish? Yeah, that person with a thousand fishes is going to bitch about that too.

“$170 BILLION for ICE. $40 BILLION for Argentina. $1 BILLION for Trump’s Qatari jet. $230 MILLION for Trump’s DOJ “compensation”. $200 MILLION for Noem’s jets… But nothing for health care?

This isn’t a question about what 🇺🇸 can or can’t afford — it’s about priorities.”

Just had like ten cops leave a neighbor alone because white people made ourselves enough of a problem. Also lol at the cop who asked if I went to law school and passed the bar. Everyone at Georgetown passes the bar, sgt.

Wondering what the odds are that the following two squares on my 2025 Bingo Quilt will go from red to black soon:

• Row 6 Col 2: "Et Tu, Brute? 25th Amendment"
• Row 3 Col 7: "Epstein Files Released and Guess What..."

Indefensible.

You don't get to "oh, but..." and split hairs to somehow make something heinous & awful seem less so. It's heinous & awful whether the victim is 5 or 15—or for that matter 16, 17, 18, 19, 33, 48, or 61. R*pe doesn't get less heinous just because the victim has matured somewhat.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

I had 3 tea strainers. They keptbgoing missing, which means I couldn't use the lovely lilac loose tea @thehappysorceress.bsky.social sent me.

Then, in a moment of stress, I succumbed to Temu's siren song. Now I have a quart mason jar with it's Very! Own! Tea! Strainer! & Lid! on my desk.

One minute you’re goofing around with a peg loom and random bulkie yarn, the next minute you’re knitting your Great Dane a sweater.

Even as a 14-year-old, I read Harlequin romances featuring teenage girls as young at 16 and adult men up to age 40 and was repulsed.

But then, I'd already been accosted by a man wanting to show me his dick at 13, and touched inappropriately (and highly confused thereby) by a family friend at age 9.
I want people to understand that in my youth, a youth that happened somewhere between the youth of Epstein, Trump, Maxwell, ex-Prince Andrew, et al & that of their victims, the term "jail bait" was framed as a compliment.

Super impressed with how MGH is handling Mark's very complicated case. The different departments involved *are actually talking to one another* and they have people facilitating communication with PCP and other providers.

The cultural difference between MGH and MaineHealth is... notable.

It is particularly disheartening to google a person you worked with decades ago and remember fondly, only to discover that they passed away in 2002. Belated RIP, Dr. Elizabeth Henrickson. You were a boon companion and a role model to me all those years ago, and I'm sorry you were taken too soon.

If you suspend someone without telling them why, you give them no opportunity to appeal.

and

If you suspend someone who researches authoritarianism and you don't tell them (or anyone else) why, you're going to be presumed to be objecting to their work.

Is it really so hard to be transparent?
False attribution. If a person is suspended it is because of their identity? Could it not be because of their content? I wrote about it here aaron.leaflet.pub/3m52nqqmk322v

Happy side effect of my husband having to quit smoking for his surgery: Several of his longtime smoking friends, having seen him do it, have now determined that they shall do the same.

Because none of them, apparently, thought he could.

(That includes the surgeon, btw.)

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

They did. My god. They are fast tracking the vote.

Every single one of them.
