I mean. It took a lot of people a lot of time before they stopped defending R. Kelly ("but I love his music"). Bill Cosby still gets a pass from too many folks ("I grew up with him"). We also have a lot to answer for.

At the same time, much of the media, the fourth estate, the people whose role in democracy is holding power accountable by informing the public, decided that an old president’s oldness was a bigger scandal than another old president’s connections to and likely participation in child sex trafficking.

In 2005, Summers said women aren't as mentally equipped to be scientists as men (link below). Harvard didn't fire his ass then.

Now in this 2017 email, he's making an insufferable, faux-clever "joke" about women's supposedly inferior IQ.

He's been garbage for decades.

Of course he was hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein, doing whatever they all did with him. Of course Larry Summers' mind was not merely dull, but noxious and cruel. Powerful white men take for granted their mutual protection, such that they rarely worry when they expose themselves for what they are.

And Schumer led them down this path. Gave them the go-ahead. He has to go.

I struggle because there were many, many more Dems against this but the entire party's rep gets tarnished by the weakest. Schumer has to go.
