Feeling a renewed sense of focus after a moving keynote by Dr. Beth Richie on the commitments of abolition feminism, which starts from really seeing and *listening* to the profound harms people are experiencing in a prison nation.

Dr. Richie called on us all to do a "carceral audit" of our work

Oh no, passing on the awful news of the passing of the Black critical theorist Selamawit Terrefe. She was a vibrant and creative thinker.

Really hope this is some big mistake.

We just heard really incisive analysis from Falguni Sheth of the mystification of the category of "South Asian" in the US, and how it is used to fracture solidarity and recruit immigrants to racist, model minority alignments with whiteness and settler colonialism 🔥

Listening to @skhojamoolji.bsky.social talk about her book on Shia Ismaili care and the construction of sociality in displacement. Lots of rich and intimate discussion of methodology and miracles and becoming oneself a "keeper of secrets".

Really resonant solidarities, also about cook books!
