Update on the future of FlyBase:

On 2/1/2029 FlyBase funding will come from the Alliance grant. By then, www.alliancegenome.org will access all FlyBase data. NIH has had a long term plan for a common MOD web site. We are formulating a comprehensive plan to transition FlyBase data to the Alliance.

The Ukrainian government has a list of places where you can donate to the war effort here. I personally just donated $100: war.ukraine.ua/donate/

Sadly, our colleague and friend Scott Hawley passed away this morning. He was an irreplaceable presence and force for good in the meiosis an Drosophila communities and will be sorely missed.
