Here’s the map of National Biomechanics Day 2025 events registered with The Biomechanics Initiative! 🌍

What a global celebration of movement and science. Did you know that 2026 NBD is celebring its 10th anniversary?

Can we make it even bigger in 2026?

Lots of love and genuine care — that’s what I found waiting for me when I returned to the lab today after almost three weeks on leave. As Walter Herzog always says, it’s not about papers, it’s about people.

Welcome back prof. Felipe.

Thank you 🙏

MGM Center of Human Movement Science (Navi Mumbai) is celebrating 10 years! Honored to share a few words on behalf of ISB.

I couldn’t attend in person, but recording a video brought back memories & reflections on the science we do in EDCs — and why we do it.

Congrats to the MGM team! 🎉

Gilberto Gil performing live in one of the concerts from his final tour. Almost 3 hours of pure Brazilian culture.

Cold morning today, but the lab was warmed by the presence of local high school students coming to visit our campus to learn about higher education.

No matter the problem, cycling can be the solution. Or replace cycling with any sport you enjoy. Having genuine fun with friends is healing and energizing. Like is like riding a bike, right?

It was my pleasure to join the lineup of speakers at the V Congress of the Brazilian Society of Clinical Analysis of Gait and Human Movement held at Sarah Hospital in Brasília. Wonderful talks and discussions with a very applied view to clinical practice.

How is this possible? He was just a little boy yesterday, and today he already has his driver’s license!

If you’re a biomechanist planning to submit a paper these days, keep in mind that many reviewers will be busy attending the XXX Congress of the International Society of Biomechanics!
The time has come! Just a few days until our congress in Stockholm!

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

There is still a day and a half to go at the XXXIX Annual Congress of the Brazilian Federation of Experimental Biology Societies, but with my last talk now delivered... time to relax, enjoy the conference, and reconnect with old friends.

There is a lot going on these days...

We write papers, but we build people.

You (yes, you, my fellow academic) too; please don’t forget that.

Someone please help me. Where is this located?

I tried using the same command and got a real mix of everything, which, in fact, might be a pretty good representation of me haha.

I actually enjoy our winters (avg 6–12°C on a chilly-but-manageable day), but not the rainy days - especially when you’re out here pretending to be a cyclist. It took me years to put together ($) this rainy-day setup… and I still complain every time I use it.

I’m not really into international soccer, but while I was lying on the couch yesterday, I happened to catch the Champions League final.
What was that?!
