okay well MATERIALLY: free housing for everyone.

CONCEPTUALLY: transness is a state of spiritual empowerment and freedom toward which we aspire.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

It's a losing battle, but I really want people to stop using the term "cabal" to describe Epstein's circle

The whole matter is already so tricky when it comes to antisemitism that adding an antisemitic term to your critique doesn't really help matters

But whatever, no one cares

I think my wireless keyboard kicked the bucket 😭 but at least it was from... 2011? 2009? so it lasted a while

I just know you bsky sickos have keyboard recommendations. I'm a Mac user (do not try to dissuade me from this, I need Vellum to live) and maybe interested in switching to a wired keyboard?

This should be true until the 17th, so you have three to four more days depending on your time zone right now.
Dionysus in Wisconsin is 40% off on Kobo until November 17th with the code NOVEMBER40! (In AU, CA, NZ, UK, US.) If you like books about guys walking around with a god in their head, academia, Shakespeare jokes, and magic, you should check it out.

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Want to read about a powerful villain meeting a violent end? Here are my books where that happens!

(The first villain is mostly powerful over the protagonist, but said villains escalate significantly)

Skill issue, David.

I need a flowchart that says "character(s) is/are having sex; is it fun?" And if you say "yes, everyone has a good time" the book is worthless, and if you say "no, everyone hates it" you get to win a literary prize.

and on a personal level, we have to constantly CONSTANTLY police the part of ourselves that cares more about the comfy cozy status quo than we care about survivors who have been brave enough to speak up about what was done to them.
This doesn't apply to just NG; it doesn't just apply to entertainment or media industries. These quotes, from that 2024 post linked upthread, apply to the current situation & far too many others to count. Even if those files are fully released, we still gotta burn down the system that created them.

I don’t think you can understand the dynamics of the Epstein and Trump and how this much corruption gets suppressed in the digital age without reading Robert Entman’s book, Scandal or Silence, an exploration of the factors that really drive presidential scandal.

I am so ready to read some romance novels that take Big Risks. Give me stakes. Real imperfections. Trust me to not need your characters to be exemplary, highly-therapized individuals. I’d like a theme or two, but I am not a baby bird, and I can chew on it myself

pretty funny in retrospect that QAnon hinged on the idea that powerful elites at the highest levels of government were smart enough to talk in code when sending emails to each other about their despicable crimes

A fun exercise is thinking about how far down the presidential line of succession you'd have to go before you find someone who isn't involved in committing or covering up the most heinous crimes known to man. You have to impeach everyone until you get there

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.
