Last but not least, some changes we're implementing for #FelannieExchange2025 from last year's learnings.

These minor tweaks are to boost participants' matching potential. In addition to this, we've also cleaned up our tagset to remove similar tags.
Changes from last year: Tagset nominations are no longer concurrent with sign-ups Tag minimum in offer submission bumped up from 10 to 12 tags.

Felannie Winter Exchange 2025 Tagset Dates Friday, October 24th: Tagset nominations open Friday, October 31st: Tagset nominations close at 11:59 PM EST Felannie Winter Exchange 2025 Sign-Up Dates Saturday, November 1st: Sign-ups nominations open Saturday, November 15th: Sign-ups close at 11:59 PM EST Saturday, November 22nd: Assignments sent out (may be sent earlier) Felannie Winter Exchange 2025 Assignment Due Dates & Reveals Saturday, Jan 24th: Assignments due at 11:59 PM EST Sunday, February 1st: Works revealed at 12 PM (Noon) EST Sunday, February 8th: Creators revealed at 12 PM (Noon) EST Note: the above timeline assumes all non-defaulted participants have received gifts.

Best Practices for Creating Exchange Prompts (2 of 2) 4. Explicitly state nice to haves: Most gifters tend to err on the side of caution and operate under the assumption that everything is a ‘must have’ so clarify whenever that isn’t the case! 5. Fully leverage DNW lists: Sometimes it may be worth listing things you normally like on your DNW list if you’re particular about the execution. There is no shame in hedging your bets to avoid disappointment! 6. Mix and match: An easy way to add extra flexibility is to give your gifter permission to smash together bits and pieces from two or more prompts. You never know what creative combo you may unlock!

Best Practices for Creating Exchange Prompts (1 of 2) 1. Start with a visual anchor point: If you want to ensure your prompts are artist-friendly, start with something that could be easily drawn. Alternatively, adding supplementary art notes is a great option too. 2. Think about scale: Does your prompt require a lot of time spent on set-up or world-building to do it justice? If it does, your gifter might choose an easier prompt, leaving your favorite ones untouched. 3. Hit the sweet spot details-wise: Providing your gifter too little direction might introduce decision paralysis while going too granular may feel restrictive. Most people work best when you give them options & inspo.
