One of many reasons we strongly oppose automatic registration for the military draft ⬇️

“This extensive data gathering poses a significant risk of weaponization and misuse, particularly with the potential for targeting the most vulnerable such as immigrant and transgender young adults."

A federal judge last week rightfully ruled the Trump administration overstepped his authority by sending immigrants to be detained at Guantánamo Bay.

This is welcome news, but not enough — we're asking the courts to shut down the detention operation there entirely.

📣"Fund food and healthcare, not war and weapons."
Congress plans to boost the Pentagon budget by $8 billion ABOVE the president's request. This would bring the Pentagon budget topline to over $900 billion.

AND this comes on top of a $156 billion boost from Trump's Big Bad Bill.

Fund food and healthcare, not war and weapons.

When President Donald Trump has been asked about the reason he’s pressuring President Nicolás Maduro to step down and threatening military action, he consistently blames the leader of Venezuela for two things: drugs and migrants.

As a Quaker organization, we abhor all violence because we believe every person has sacred worth.

We are deeply disturbed by the wanton, unrestrained violence we are seeing this administration carry out - both at home and abroad. Thank you, Sen. Murphy, for sounding the alarm.
What we are watching - as U.S. citizens are dragged out of cars and illegal war is waged in the Caribbean - is the corruption of the most sacred power we give the President - the power of violence.

We are no longer a democracy if the regime can use violence without restraint.
