Your friendly local artist. I mainly work on the westbank of New Orleans, but I cross the river from time to time. Send me a message if you're interested in my work or want to know my schedule!
Starting today, many of my pieces (11 to be exact) are hanging up in Common Grounds in Gretna, alongside dozens of other paintings made by my fellow Westbank Art Guild members! Come on by, get a bite to eat, and check out all the art.

I have been so sick and exhausted that I haven't been able to make much art at all for the last few months, but I finally got a chance to finish a big new piece last night!

Finally finished this guy! It's been like 6 months but I finally sorted it how I wanted it... Mostly. I guess that's part of being an artist, knowing when to stop fussing over a piece.

I am so glad I took this out of the frame to fix what were, in my opinion, glaring issues. Just need to correct the reflection now, and make the roof rust more convincing, possibly also touch up the water. But it's so much better than it was that I'm finding it hard to get started again.

Y'all come on down and check out the market tomorrow.

Well, it doesn't photograph well (my camera is really flattening the more subtle highlights into a single shade of cherry) but it's done!

Trust the process.

Sometimes you start a painting over before it even starts. I think that's ok.

A sampler of my work! I will be at Ringing in the Arts in Gretna next month, hopefully I will see you there and sell a couple of these paintings!

Yes, the last several weeks have been hard. Why do you ask?
