A lot is really discouraging about the rise of fascism in the US. I feel particularly distressed at how difficult and unlikely a popular front between liberals and the left is, largely as a result of the horrible turn of liberalism this last year. 1/19 🧵

NYU Campus Security and Administration is totally out of control.
On Wednesday - I filmed a peaceful protest in Bobst library for two hours.
Yesterday at 2pm while at home,
I received an email explaining that I’ve been designated “persona non grata” and banned from several buildings on campus.

Who cares if the guy read dumb books and was a tech bro? Isn’t it actually *better* if he isn’t of the left? Harder for the fascists to discredit? Are we seriously imposing an ideological purity test on loan wolf assassins now? He’s not a hero; he’s a symptom of a sick system.
