The lack of investment in universities & research is disappointing & a missed opportunity. 🇨🇦 does not need more “international talent”, it needs to invest in its current ECRs, pay them living wages, & most of all >>increase post-doc funding so that they don’t have to look abroad after their PhDs.

I got a NYT subscription for my bday a year ago. They are disappointingly equivocating in how they frame Trump’s lawlessness, and I won’t be renewing

I’d have liked to see more density in neighbourhoods close to the ocean, rather than leaving our amazing sea views to the multi millionaires. e.g. Cadboro Bay which unlike my neighbourhood has buses, shops, and is walkable to UVic.

Well please reconsider changes along Cedar Hill X and Maplewood anyway. CHX has no bus route or even bike lane so how it can fit apartments on either side is beyond me. Those living there will still be 15 mins from nearest shops on McKenzie so it’ll be no less walkable, just ever more traffic.

Dean, for those of us in SFHs marked for rezoning as apartments, how will you prevent us dealing with crippling increases in property tax as our land value rises? It is going to price us out of our own homes, whose actual resale value will therefore drop. The QMP is much too much, too quickly!
