Yesterday we welcomed this handsome boy to the sanctuary. The whole neighborhood stood up for him and refused to have him euthanized for an eye infection! We got him surgery yesterday, and he’s now being monitored. Eating lots, and warming up to pets and cuddles. Welcome to #fatkittycity , Gus! 🫶

😿 After a year in a cage with an untreated broken leg, Jorge arrived at our sanctuary.
🫶 His leg had to be amputated, but he's now thriving with his new family: happy, loved, and the playful younger brother to their senior cat.

Ellie was born with cerebral hypoplasia, also known as "wobbly cat syndrome". She is the only survivor of her litter of brothers and sisters, born to a mom sick with Feline panleukopenia who passed away shortly after, and has been with us since 2008 💕
