Mijn recensie in NRC van het nieuwe boek van Frank Dragtenstein. Zijn derde biografie over de eerste helft van de achttiende eeuw. Een mooie bijdrage aan het nieuwe verhaal over het Nederlandse koloniale en slavernijverleden.

Mooie lezing van Elmer Kolfin over zijn nieuwe boek. Nieuw (goed!) licht op de onbekende, niet zo mooie, maar interessante Batavencyclus in het Paleis op de Dam aka Koninklijk Paleis in Amsterdam.

I'm loving how Museum De Fundatie made space for connecting early modern and contemporary art. Very much worth a visit.
Upstairs there is a show of Ukrainian art, across the twentieth century to the present. Powerful works & space for connection & reflection.
