Hand counted with election monitors from each party double checking. This is not hard. Accuracy and traceability is critical. After dieselgate I don’t trust that a system that passes in tests is necessarily behaving the same way in production. The same logic applies to tabulators.

Your vote will be printed on paper *if* it is received.

Hand marked paper ballots counted by hand are the gold standard. The internet is fundamentally insecure.

Also, Obama turned out to be neoliberal security state type, who signed the 2012 NDAA authorizing indefinite detention without trial for citizens. And who assassinated US citizens abroad. Etc. The man is eloquent but let’s not ignore his actual record.

Also he can use it to purge officers who are not personally loyal to him; this will be key when he deploys the military again a domestic political opponents. And because he heard that Ukraine canceled elections during wartime and he wants to do the same.

Ask him how, as a self styled military historian, he thought an SS tattoo was OK to wear for 20 years?

It must be abolished entirely, duties farmed out to other orgs. DHS should be dissolved as well.

Propping up the bubble for political gain makes sense as a motivation. 2008 happened due not just to a bubble pop but due to leverage (mortgage backed securities) causing contagion outside the housing market. Not clear to me that the AI bubble has the same contagion possibilities.

Are the feds pushing AI so hard because they want to use slopanaganda to control the US population? I am struggling to find another explanation.

Thanks for the correction. My intent was more to highlight Trump’s evident excitement at cancelling elections here.

When he discovered Zelenskyy had suspended elections during the war there, he mused he could do the same.

Makes one wonder to what degree the AI data centers are being used to generate fake comments on social media. AI itself has proven generally unprofitable, yet the money keeps pouring in to these companies - is their propaganda role what keeps them afloat?

Unsubscribe, and tell your friends to! $$ is the only language these companies understand

Another Hatch Act violation, I see. On top of lies as usual

I urge you not to vote for any Republican budget under these circumstances. If that means the Federal government stays closed indefinitely, so be it - if we lose the Constitution, nothing else matters.
October 16, 2025 at 1:39 PM
The administration is violating the Constitution by refusing to spend appropriated funds and by spending funds for purposes not authorized by Congress. Until we have reasonable assurances that the administration will adhere to the Constitution, voting for *any* budget simply enables lawlessness.

A boring explanation for the freeze could be that Miller lost his connection and could not hear the interviewer, and was waiting until the connection was restored.

Is that a paintball gun?

I can easily see a scenario where the regime declares a number of blue states to be in rebellion against the government, and as part of that, says their votes in the midterms don’t count. The scary thing is, that is one of the less extreme scenarios that is now plausible.

“Will the computer love the sunset”, “war is a god”, “horses”, “domestic error”, “friends”, “war isn’t murder”, “the great Caucasian god” - all solid tracks
