RIP to Wild Strawberry, the manga that excited me most these last couple of years. I wish it had gotten the chance to spread its wings more, but I really enjoyed every step of the way.

And still to this day, I’ve written the only fic on AO3 for it.

Please read this manga if you get the chance

Now that I’m wrapping up Wano in the manga I figured it was the right time to check in on the most recent movie! Been excited for this one for a while!

Sadly with the Mirage closed, I had to settle for just robbing the Bellagio and the MGM Grand

10. American Arcadia

A lovely birthday gift from @sugarcomatosed.bsky.social that I finally finished, it’s an EXTREMELY me game. What if the Truman Show was about a 70s paranoia thriller? Love the conclusion it reached, interesting sticky answer to its questions. Absolutely loved it

9. Overcooked 2

Went through the entire game with @celeast.bsky.social and had an absolute blast. I never thought I’d actually beat Overcooked and I’m so happy I did! Felt great to do it with a friend and defeat the Unbread! Such a silly, fun game

My best friend in the world is a horror obsessed scaredy cat, and she wants to watch the other two with me, having seen the first one, but is too scared to rewatch this one. So here I am, watching it in the middle of the day in August

In 35 mm! Pretty sure this is gonna be last time at the indie theater in town that I love so much, and am genuinely sad, but just being glad I’ve had this for so long.

And a movie that reminds you: you could always be having a worse time

8. Super Mario Odyssey

Surprisingly a first time play for me! I cried during the New Donk City festival, obviously the highlight of the game for me. Loved how it rewarded every single time you asked “I wonder if there’s something over there”. Incredibly fun game

7. Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake)

What a game! Sometimes I forget what a punch SNES games can have, but man was I moved throughout. I can see how this influences all the FFs to come, but also, why they would want it to. It feels like such a precious object, bold and weird in all the ways I love

Been talking time travel recently, and looking for recs so I’m curious, what’s everyone’s favorite time travel stories? Could be game, show, movie, book, whatever! Loops, travel, freeze, any kind of time shenanigans really

These are some of my favs (yes there’s multiple Treks what of it)

In a packed house on 35mm! I wasn’t allowed to watch SpongeBob as a kid and can count the episodes I’ve seen on one hand! Should be… quite the experience!

If you want a peek into the bizarre way my brain works, I wrote this line fully thinking that “splinter in the mind’s eye” was a common turn of phrase only to Google and realize it’s the name of a Star Wars Legends book I’m fascinated by but haven’t read. In my defense, it’s evocative
