Thank you! I’m shooting for Garden of Eden so “Heavenly” is a great compliment! I’d like this little one-acre to be like the Willie Wonka Factory of forest gardening…where everything you can see and touch is edible.

And I suppose Spicebush and Hazelnuts are also considered fruits so add those to the list, too. I’d say that I don’t have room for even one more, but of course I’d be wrong.

So far the fruit I’m growing here includes: Mulberry, Persimmon, Aronia/Chokeberry, Elderberry, Black Currant, Red Current, Honeyberry, Red Raspberry, Blackberries, Riverbank Grape, Fox Grape, Gooseberry, Goji Berry, and Highbush Cranberry.

Mulberry trees have deep, water-seeking roots, so I’m guessing that they’ll break through the clay easily enough to take advantage of our low water table here at the lake.

Oh, lol, I don’t know if I need two! I should probably read up! I accidentally planted a riverbank grape along a path and it’s taking off so now I’m on the lookout for a cattle panel for them to climb up.
