On my mind: If/when I have to stop seeing my Medicaid/Medicare patients due to payments not going through, and how they will have to go to the ED instead. And how that will impact the rest of us when already strained hospitals are further pushed to their limits.

Wake up folks! I’ve been working in healthcare for 40 years. By shutting down access to essential health information from the CDC they are erasing our ability to use data and evidence to care for people. Now is not the time to sit back and hope for the best. 👩⚕️

Last night spent with delightful company and charcuterie. This morning had a brunch outing, walk to the library and hot cocoa, and time with my family. This is how to get through this season in our world.

My pro-Trump patient told me they hope that he will help Medicare after they found out one of their medications increased in price. I didn’t have the heart to tell them he was the cause of this and it’s likely to get worse.

Nah. If they were told to break down doors and drag immigrant children out by their hair, they would. If they were told to arrest a pregnant woman trying to get an abortion, they would not hesitate. They can FAFO like the rest of them.
