Had a lovely, tiring past few days at @worldfantasy2025.bsky.social - even though the dealer's room was a bit quiet I feel our Syndicate table put on a tremendous display.

And we were within a hair's breadth of selling out of However Many Must Die in the end (thanks to Rob!).

Had a fun day running this table, tossing books at strangers, and even got a panel in.

You can still come find us at World Fantasy Con tomorrow for all your booky needs.

The Syndicate table is looking very spiffy at World Fantasy Con if I do say so myself. Featuring books from a tremendous range of indie authors including Rob Hayes, JE Hannaford, Alicia Wanstall-Burke, El McInerney, Graham Austin-King, David Green and me.

David's books are flying particularly fast!

It's time for the obligatory A Winter's Mercy arrow pic so you know exactly what we're in store for.

Expect:
😄 Cheery camaraderie 👍
🌲 Creepy woods and creepier creatures 🐺
❤️ Heart-warming to heart-breaking 💔
🧙 Battle mages and big artillery 💥
💃 Fun, fun, sorrow, fun 🙍‍♂️

If you're around for World Fantasy Con in Brighton this week and are looking for a genuine Phil Williams novel, here's the price list for all the books I'll have available at our table.

I'm about to start experimenting with how many I can fit in a bag to take with me on the train.

I may have also found the cause though.

I'm watching Hell House Llc and went to the toilet and when I turned back I found the sofa suddenly like this.

Uh oh scary things happening with this video over on Tiktok

Sundries for World Fantasy Con have dropped! Finally some fresh packs of Punk Witches cards and some delightful assorted coasters/discs of wonder.

Ahh a very happy book birthday to @spookypurcell.bsky.social! That's me sorted for a few days.

The first physical proof of A Winter's Mercy is here, and looks rather spiffy if I do say so myself!

Though it's tiny in comparison to the first two...

Sure, "unlikely", just wasn't generally the way in those days...

And in this little Judge Dredd moment from 1985 we find a perfect summary of modern politics.

This one panel from a vintage Judge Dredd goes extra hard.

Most people don't appreciate quite how much investment is increasingly required to advertise a book.

Trying my hand at some local advertising.

Just finished Chain-Gang All Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah - absolutely superb book. Heartily recommend this one.

As I embark at last upon the eighth Ordshaw book, it bears noting that for this city that I have fully mapped out in some detail, I am still reliant upon my original map, doodled on the minutes of a meeting, which has informed every book so far.

The map is not very good.

Our wonderful local old school bakery has this absurdly excessive cream roll which they produce precisely one of each day, for £2.30.

Today was finally our day to try it, and it was unfortunately much tastier than I expected.

Confident Guinea pig mug (it's a big mug) for scale.

With Oksy, Come Home reaching the @thesfincs.bsky.social finals I've finally got my act together and produced a paperback version.

Available now from whether you get your print books!

Absolutely chuffed and delighted to announce Oksy, Come Home, my little known Blood Scouts novella, has reached the finals of SFINCS!

Came across this hefty graphic novel about climate change yesterday which I gather is rather popular.

Looking forward to checking it out.

I made a goblin model. Should also have a gun but I haven't got around to making that yet.

Merry new year all, my tipple of the eve is this fetching can that my wife bought me.

Dark as the heart of this cold year we leave behind. But also smooth like caramel.
