On this day, in 1965, the Board met at director Fred Williamson's home due to a financial crisis. Ex-Scotland and Nottingham Forest manager Andy Beattie, contacted by journalist Colin Slater, became an unpaid advisor. Finances stabilised with a £10,000 cheque from car dealer Bill Hopcroft. #Notts
