Making the art of your heart is wonderful, but your favorite artist is likely grinding out someone else's ideas just to live. If we want to honor Lynch's legacy we need to create a sustainable system in which artists are allowed to pursue their passions without economic or commercial pressure.

I actually legitimately love that we’re all sharing what David Lynch meant to us. No art or person is beyond critique but he is such a beacon of hope that yes, you can make your art; you can really do that; you can be that good and that curious for that long, right to the end. It matters.
