Also I love boiled eggs (pickled, soft, egg salad all them) so much I got a small countertop egg steamer so I can just set it and forget it to the exact firmness I like, it’s one of the few uni-task kitchen items worth it IMO

I keep the water boiling when I remove the eggs with a slotted spoon, do the ice bath, then put them back in the boiling water for just a min or two, then ice bath again, its extra steps but makes the outter part of the egg firmer and less delicate to peel while still keeping them soft boiled.

We did plain potato for Harvee tonight and he didn’t like it! Who doesn’t like baked potato? The adult potatoes looked like this
