I just got back!! Had a super long coffee break with an amazing pastry down by a beautiful river with my daughter. Then accidentally fell into a books store. Found good deals on books for my 2026 reading list. What a great way to celebrate one of the few remaining patio-dining days before winter.

I should add I am a blue pigment nerd. My book lists always have some sort book about the history of a shade of blue.

The book I just finished this week was Feathers: The Evolution of a Natural Miracle. It's a deep-dive nerd book on human connections to feathers - fashion, biomimicry, writing quills, etc.
