my patience has increased but I will say, it is ok to have trouble reading, it is not ok to scream at people for things you imagined they said because you can't read what they actually said

Honestly my 30s have been better than my 20s? I’ve definitely lost some speed and stamina and gained some joint pain, but I’m definitely a better friend to myself than I was a decade ago, and the trade off mainly just sucks when I want to play on trampolines.

Literally one of the worst parts of being a church admin was going from telling people “I’m sorry, we cannot help you with your personal housing/financial/food situation, but we can refer you to this other organization nearby,” to being told it’s “not [my] responsibility” to help find folks help >

I did have a moment this morning of “oh, my mom is going for walkies around the ICU step-down, I had a buddy of mine do a more intimidating version of this a month ago!” (I hope you’re healing up.)
