While we lost our first of this group yesterday, this morning this girl emerged and was full of life and energy. Allowed her to get those wings ready and then released her this afternoon. #Butterflies #Monarchs #Florida

Moved the cats over to the a fresh pot of milkweed. Counted 24 and still a couple eggs that haven't hatched yet. One of them is almost to full size and will pupate here soon. Going to get a screen enclosure for them built tomorrow to avoid the lizards from having a field day. #butterflies #monarchs

Weekend photo dump. Saturday evening's sunset one of the brightest I've seen here. Then a couple photos of a female monarch visiting the butterflyweed in the front yard. Going to keep an eye out for baby caterpillars this week until I need to protect them.

Gulf Fritillary on my Gold Verbena this afternoon. The Verbena or Florida Lantana is one of the endangered species I've added to the yard this year. It is doing amazing so far. Going to try some cuttings to attempt propagation of some more plants.

We really need commuter rail or other light rail to the attractions area. This is just an absolute nightmare. I-4 being I-4.
