I saw this on FB earlier and thought of you 🥰

Love the caption:

I LOVE BOARD GAMES. MY FAVOURITE ONE IS WHERE PEOPLE PUT MEAT AND CHEESE ON A BOARD, MAYBE SOME FRUIT AND CRACKERS. I'M SO GOOD AT THAT ONE.

I loved the book Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell. There’s soon to be movie of it.

The only problem is I read it having watched Upstart Crow. So in my head the main characters looked like David Mitchell and Lisa Tarbuck. That’s not who they’ve cast in the movie 😂

Just this. If you’re celebrating I wish you happiness. Your festival is important to you so it’s important to me. I may not share your faith & beliefs but I do understand that festivals are important cultural events hope yours are joyful.

We’re watching @hignfy.bsky.social

They’ve been talking about Peugeot’s square steering wheel.

Anyone want to guess what I’m shouting at the TV?

No one in the studio noticed.

Hint: it wasn’t “2 sides short, 2 sides long. Sing the rectangle song”!

Sometimes something has to give. Give yourself grace. I’ve always liked this as a view on priorities.

Excellent post from one of our local businesses.

Try and buy at least some of your gifts from small local retailers and if your buying from chains do so in local shops not online so they stay on your high street providing jobs and paying business taxes.

If you don’t use it you’ll lose it.

If you can’t buy local then try buying from online accounts that give you joy.

This arrived today from @weratedogs.com as a gift for someone and I know they’re going to love it.

Ok it’s Christmas Fair season again.

Here’s a fundraiser I rustled up this week. Donated prizes go in bags labelled 1-20. Lolly sticks get poked into in sand/gravel in the box hiding the numbers. The customer wins whatever is in the bag with their number. Bags get topped up until all stock gone.

I love Barbara Henderson’s (@scattyscribbler.bsky.social) work. Barbara writes well researched Scottish historical fiction for kids. River Boy about the building of the Forth Rail Bridge and Black Water referencing part of Robert Burn’s life are particular classroom favourites of mine.
