Anyway, as they were closing out… what… 29 years of music with their final world tour… I got possessed with the idea of drawing a tribute to their impact in music and in my life…

I wanted to tackle different styles and ways of coloring since I’m out of comic hell too. So like here’s wonderwall or whatever!

Winning a Ringo Award would be an honour, a privilege—and another way for me to thank 'Ringo for all the stories he brought to life.

I loved everything he touched or created—SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN, FANTASTIC FOUR, TELLOS—and I was devastated when I learned of his passing. Till this day, one of my favourite memories with a creator was chatting with Mark Waid about 'Ringo because it's the closest I'll ever get to meeting the man.

A Ringo Award win would mean the world to me. Yes, it's a recognised and celebrated prize, which would hopefully revitalise international interest in our book—but, more than all of that, Mike Wieringo was my favourite artist when I was getting into comics regularly.
