Wondering if there is any point in this timeline where the World looks at the US and says, "Hmm, doesn't look good over there" should we intervene? It's starting to feel like we may need some outside assistance sometime soon. Clearly there is no help coming from within.

As the World celebrates the new Pope, I think it is important to reflect on the shoulders of giants on which he now stands. He is not the first from Chicago who were on a mission from God.

Whipped up a couple of pizzas last night using the Scarr's recipe. Turned out pretty good for an at-home version. This is the Hot Boi with pepperoni, jalapeno, and hot honey. I didn't get natural casing pepperoni, so no cuppage, but the dough and sauce recipes are pretty good.

Went out to the garden today and saw that there is an actual tomato starting to grow on the vine! Have only ever managed flowers previously in the inhospitable climes of the desert SW! Here’s to small victories.
