In a way I think that’s a what they are planning (the concept of dismantling the country and shifting the entirely of power to the oligarchy.) If you read The Nerd Reich, or any of the Network State or Curtis Yarvin shit, they envision managing a “controlled collapse of society” to fundamentally reshape the balance of power. On one side, you have Silicon Valley’s elite who want to carve out exclusive billionaire city states, on the other you have fundamentalist Christian fascists shoring up the rest of it. Crypto bros realized working together with the fascists might get them their goal. Trump’s talk about privatizing large swaths of protected land? That’s the reward for helping - they get to be god kings / feudal lords in their own little city states. So when I read headlines about Canada, Greenland, Third Terms, Hegseth etc… people see randomness and craziness. I see it as a group of people rocking a large bookshelf. They’re rocking it slightly further on each try, to see how many books they can empty without knocking the shelf over. They don’t want to knock the shelf over (eg totally destroy the country) as they need something left over to rule and enjoy (and subjects to do the work.) However, they’ve also said that if a civil war is necessary then it might need to happen. Apparently they want to avoid it because it would be inconvenient, expensive, and extend the timeline. They’re hoping you’ll just comply them into power. Don’t comply in advance. If you’re thinking of doing it, go read what people like Curtis Yarvin have in store for you. Because he has the ear of this entire group.
